I write about what I lived. In 1998, at age 20, I was medicated with olanzapine for one month. The following 27 years were spent documenting what that month did — and searching the scientific literature for the explanation of why.
I am neither a physician nor an academic researcher, and I do not claim to be one. I am a patient who spent two decades reading pharmacology, keeping a dated personal registry, and tracking down the primary sources behind every claim I make. Everything I publish is checked against the original record; when a citation of mine fails to hold, I withdraw it and log the correction.
Declared interests: I am the subject of the case I describe, author of the books about it, and responsible for this website and its petition. These interests are material and I do not hide them — they are precisely why I insist that my assertions remain verifiable by third parties.
About the protocol: Contrary to much misinformation circulating, the Primal Reactivation Protocol stems from a mechanism clearly identified in the literature: olanzapine has a higher affinity for H1 than for D2, and H1 blockade in the arcuate nucleus activates AMPK, triggering hyperphagia and weight gain (Kim et al., PNAS 2007; He et al., 2014). In animal models reproducing olanzapine hyperphagia, the effect is mediated by 5-HT2C antagonism (Lord et al., JCI 2017).
The architecture I propose — 3 Nodes, 5 Pillars — organizes the intervention in that sequence: first the hypothalamus, then the cortex, protecting the D2 striatum. There is nobody in the published literature using betahistine in this manner for antipsychotic-induced hypothalamic injury.
This is documented self-experimentation, not a treatment. Nothing here should be initiated without medical supervision, and no psychiatric medication should be altered without a clinician.
